Patient being transported from X-ray to Trauma at SIMS Medical Center

This Trauma patient is on the way to our fully operational Radiology Department where neck, chest, abdominal and leg X-Rays will be taken.  Nursing and respiratory students accompanied the patient to Radiology where they all worked as a team to perform the exams.

With portable patients like the one shown, almost anything can happen during transport.  As a team, students will have to decide what is best for the patient.

Patient on Ventilator in SIMS Medical Center Trauma One

Many of our patients can be placed on a real ventilator.  This provides health students with an exceptional experience dealing with the special issues related to the ventilated patient.
