Evaluation and
Rehabilitation of Daily Living Skills
For most people quality of life is equated
with an ability to live independently. Abilities lost to injury, illness or decreased by
the aging process can often be improved or compensated for. Occupational Therapists are
trained to analyze activities, and the environment they are performed in, in order to
assist an individual in maintaining or regaining independence. A Registered,
Licensed Occupational Therapist will evaluate performance and guide the occupational
therapy assistant student in working with the individual to develop strategies for
improved function in self care, home care and leisure activities. |
